Fund-raising dinner and auction  continues...

Your auction committee from the Board of Trustees is happy to announce that the menu for the meal before the auctions to be held on Saturday evening, October 29 at 5:30 p.m. will be an "old-fashioned" Ham and Bean supper, followed by a delicious home-made dessert.  Tickets for the combined supper and auction will be on sale during social hour each Sunday, beginning October 2. The cost for the entire evening is $6.00 per person.  Those who wish to attend only the auction may purchase an auction admission ticket for $3.00 per person.  Tickets may also be purchased from any member of the Trustees or by calling the church office at 781-324-2745. Please note that the deadline for all auction donations is Sunday, October 16.

This event promises to be an exciting and lively night for everyone.  There are many great items coming in for the auctions.  We will also be selling "Mystery Envelopes" for $10 each, the contents of which are guaranteed to be worth over $10.00 and will contain very interesting things. Well-known auctioneer, Douglas Stinson will be presiding over the live auction.

Be sure to get your tickets well in advance as the tickets are limited and you will not want to miss out on this interesting and fun evening.  At the same time, you will be helping our church raise much-needed funds for the repair and restoration projects needing to be done in our buildings.

Your Auction Committee from the Board of Trustees has been hard at work soliciting donations to make our first auction a success.  But, we need your help.  We know that many of our members and friends can donate articles (must be new, unless an antique or collectible item) and can offer a needed service for the auction.

If you know of a place (restaurant, museum, activity place) please consider asking for a donation explaining that it is for our church and will help with the expenses we are having for repair, upkeep, and restoration works of our building. We can supply a letter of request with church letterhead if needed.

Perhaps a gift certificate or gift card could be purchased by some of you to donate.  Many of our people are very talented and could donate a nice hand-made items.  We need many, many items both large and small for this auction to be a successful fund-raiser

How can you help out in this project? Below are some ideas that you can do:

  • Donate a pair of show tickets

  • Donate jewelry

  • Donate a weekend away

  • Donate artwork

  • Donate a holiday decoration

  • Donate any collector's item

  • Donate a craft

  • Donate a membership

  • Donate paintings, etc.

  • Donate a gift basket

  • Donate gift certificates

The ideas are endless and the Trustees are open to all your input! Please note that the deadline for all auction donations is Sunday, October 16.
